About this design: This beautiful phone case is designed with intestinal epithelial cells captured under the microscope. Btw. intestinal epithelial cells form very tight connections with their neighbour cells - this is essential to maintain a firm barrier between the intestinal content and the sterile body. The primary epithelial cells in this case design were cultured and stained with specific antibodies, imaged with a confocal microscope and pictures were further processed with Photoshop. Pretty amazing ha?
Tight Junction was created by Johanna Pott from the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford
