Selling your research as a product on UPROSA is simple and can make you money with almost no time investment.

All you have to do is submit the images you think would look great on a lifestyle product. Since we are selling products that tell the story of scientific research, please also submit the story behind your research/work. We will then use your image and make it available for sale on a variety of products such as phone & MacBook cases, t-shirts, etc...

When one of your products gets sold, we'll produce, package, and ship it and share 15% of the profits with you!

- Is image quality important? -

YES, YES & YES! We want to make your work look as amazing as it is in reality and will only sell high quality products. Depending on the image quality we can only offer your work on a limited media portfolio. Image quality and dimension (resolution & size) are therefore crucial. If you have a great image but are not sure if the image quality is good enough just get in touch.

The following measurements should give you a basic idea of what is possible:

Less than 150 dpi (dots per inch):

  • Phone Cases
  • Other smaller products

Between 150 & 300 dpi (dots per inch):

  • Small products as mentioned above
  • Laptop Cases
  • T-Shirts
  • Other small to medium sized products

More than 300 dpi (dots per inch)

  • Small and medium sized products as mentioned above
  • Other large sized products

NOTE: Please always submit your image in the best possible quality as we are actively expanding our product portfolio!

- What is the best file format for T-Shirt images? -

We recommend a PNG image file for darker shirt colours.

- Why won't my image upload? -

As a first step, make sure your file does not exceed 10Mb. Start with your highest quality original file but do not resample your image to make it larger. Save your file as a maximum quality JPEG in RGB colour mode. If your image is larger, please continue to fill in the online submission from AND email us the image directly.

- How can I boost my sales? -

We will market for you, however, in order to promote your work and earn as much money as possible you should consider promoting your work via your social media channels as soon as your products are available online. Make sure your Facebook and Twitter accounts are connected (indicated on the right-hand column) and share the links to your products with everyone you know. Also engage you friends and family to share your work via their social media channels. Hit Submit, and be patient.

- When will I get paid? -

In order to maximise your profit we have to minimise our internal transaction costs, which is why we have fixed payout dates. You will get paid every 1st of the month via Paypal if your total earnings exceed £10.00 - with a 30 day per purchase grace period from the date of sale (e.g. if you sell something on December 15th, it is cleared on January 15th and then you get paid on February 1st). If your sales did not exceed £10.00 by the payout date, your earnings will roll over to the following month. If you want information on your current account balance please contact us. FYI we are currently working hard to integrate a real time payment tracker for you!

- Why are my products not showing up in the Store? -

Please note that not all images submitted are selected into the UPROSA Store. On average, your products will be available online within 7 working days after we have evaluated your submission. You will always receive an email from us that confirms your submission. Furthermore, we will email you when your products are available in our shop. Kindly also note that we may limit the portfolio of products offered using your image(s) depending on the quality of the image(s) you submitted.

- How much do I earn for a sale? -

We share 15% of the profits with you! For example, for a T-shirt we sell on the basis of your image you will make £1.40. However, please notice that we deduct transaction costs (if they occur) from your earnings. To minimise these costs and our internal transaction costs we have fixed payout dates.

- Are there any fees for Selling? -

- Do I keep the rights to my work I submit to UPROSA? -

OF COURSE – What's yours is yours! When you send us your image & story, you continue to control the rights to it. We make your work available only through our trusted distribution channels. If your work is selected by our Retail Partners, they will make it available through their online / offline distribution channels without infringing your rights to your work. We have strict contracts with our suppliers that ensure that your images are only used for the production of our products (learn more).

- Will you ship my products for me? -

Yes! Any time someone orders one of your products we produce, pack and ship it for you. We also provide customer support on your behalf.

- Can anyone submit his or her images UPROSA? -

UPROSA welcomes all scientists, engineers, and researchers to submit their work and research story for consideration.
